Visegradopedia

For centuries, the history of the Visegrad countries (Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia) has been interlinked in many ways.

Visegradopedia project aims to create a reliable, verified database, an online encyclopaedia, which allows the population inside and outside of the V4 countries to learn about their respective history, culture, economy, science, art and gastronomy. It emphasises the common elements that connect them, encouraging users to get to know each other better. And with such authentic knowledge, prejudices (traces of which are still present today) may be eliminated.

An important aim of the project is to reach as many young people as possible and encourage them to get to know the Visegrad countries, their peoples and cultures.

An organisation from each of the four Visegrad countries is working together to implement the project. In this way, we also show that the common goal we have found, the dissemination of knowledge, the preservation of values and the creation of innovative applications for education can bring together and enrich not only individuals, but also organisations.
